Importance of Positive Psychology

The Positive Psychology movement has been hailed by TIME Magazine as perhaps the single most important breakthrough in
the effort to tap human potential and help people cope with modern day stress and day-to-day challenges. Positive Psychology is the scientific study of positive emotions, strengths-based character, and healthy institutions that lead to optimal human functioning.
This field is founded on the belief that people want to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives, to cultivate what is best within themselves, and to enhance their experiences of love, work, and play.

Dr. Martin Seligman, the father of Positive Psychology, urged psychology to “turn toward understanding and building the human strengths to complement our emphasis on healing damage.” This program is based on 40 years of research and provides a unique and revolutionary approach to train professionals to incorporate Positive Psychology into their personal lives and implement it into their work environment.
